Since living in Philadelphia and San Francisco and seeing the intentional injection of art into those cities as a whole, I imagined Jacksonville could have the same. I came up with The Guerrilla Art Project (GAP) as an artistic component to the community organization my mother and I began together Renewed Community Initiatives. The idea was/is to inject art in everyday unexpected places for those communities and neighborhoods that don’t have galleries, museums, theaters, and opera houses around every corner. Filling the art ‘gap’, get it? GAP. Ha. 10x 10 is a current Guerrilla Art project. By the way I also did the logo.
